A unique and complex institution of musical initiation and the venue for the country’s first comprehensive exhibition presenting the history of music, opened in the City Park in January 2022.
This is the oldest building in the City Park and it is one of its most precious monuments. The name of the house is a direct reference to the era and time when the Hungary celebrated the 1,000 year anniversary of the establishment of the Hungarian state, i.e. 1896.

This centuries-old tradition will be revived during the renovation of the park area known as Mimóza hill, where there is a gas balloon lookout fixed to the ground, which rises into the air on a scheduled basis.
The bath had originally been referred to as the Artesian spa, but when it opened on June 16, 1913, it was officially named Széchenyi Spa (Széchenyi gyógyfürdő) after István Széchenyi. The bath was built in Neo-Baroque style to the design and the complex was expanded in 1927 to its current size, with 3 outdoor and 15 indoor pools.
The restaurant opened in 1866 next to the Budapest Zoo. Splendid pavilion-type covered structures are situated in the large courtyard and garden, which as well as providing pleasant coolness in the summer heat, create open space in the open air.
The Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden is one of the oldest in the world with its almost 150 years of history. Besides Hungarian species the zoo housed several rare species of monkeys, lemurs, parrots, camels, kangaroos and other special animals.
